KARSHATI’S range of SOLUBLE OIL grades are used in manufacturing environment friendly products like light weight Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks.

Increasing awareness of Operating cost and % rejection of moulds has given us impetus to the development of different grades of soluble oils, as it plays very important role in controlling the rate of reactions between various ingredients like Aluminium Powder, lime , cement, silica from fly ash etc. To meet the growing demands of 21st century and ever evolving construction industry, KARSHATI has developed a unique product called KVN -90/108.

KVN-90/108 is a liquid admixture miscible in water and designed to suit the different quality of fly ash ( A major raw material and inconsistent in quality ). During casting or green stage, controlling rate of reaction between various raw materials like Quick lime, aluminium powder and silica from fly ash and cement etc is paramount to the stability of mould. KVN -90/108 acts as a catalyst as well as retardant based on fineness of fly ash quality.

KVN-90/108 contents a Plasticizer or a Super plasticizer either a non-surface active polymer or usually a blend of all to improve the separation of particles and to prevent settling or clumping of light particles available in raw materials like Fly Ash, Aluminium Powder, quick Lime Etc.

It also contains blend of some organic oils and surfactants and polymers to provide strength to cell walls at green stage inside the mass during reaction between water and Metal Powder as well as liberation of Hydrogen gas tension of mass.

Role of Soluble Oil plays a very important in prevention of mould shrinkage as in subsidizing the effects of also plays important role in controlling calcium ( from cement & Lime) and Silica( From Cement & Fly ash) which results in nm Tobermorite( C-S-H Calcium Silicate Hydrate ) which is principal final product of AAC. Improper mixing of various ingredients in the formulation may results in un reactive Calcium Hydroxide which gives less than optimum block strength and also Lattice Shrinkage.by adjusting the surface impurities like High carbon and oil contents in fly ash the rate of reaction between various reactants solid mass, it helps and like 1:1

  • Dosage ** : 0.3-0.5 litre /m3. OR. 0.03 to 0.05 %
  • Time of Mixing : After pouring Slurry & water in to the Mixture but before dry materials for Homogeneous mixing in the mixture or reactor.
  • Agitation : Shake well before use
  • Packaging :- 200 litre HDPE barrels or Tanker Load.

    Storage :- Store at room temperature and keep away from strong oxidizer like Potassium Permanganate and combustible material.

    Shelf Life :- 2 Years from the date of manufacturing.

    ** Dosage some time varies with changes in raw material quality, however most of the AAC block manufacturers started with higher dosage and after achieving the desired goal i.e reduction in rejection % , they optimized the dosage of Soluble oil to 0.35 to 0.54 % of mould size.
